JUNIOR CRICKET

HISTORY

Southern District Cricket Club have fielded junior teams in SACA's Premier Cricket Competition since early 1980s. Currently fielding two Under 16 sides, two Under 14 sides and an Under 12 side in One-Day and Two-Day competitions, SDCC's Junior Program is lead by former Sussex CCC player Lewis Hatchett who took over the Head Coach role for the 2019-20 season.

Southern District Cricket Club is dedicated to the growth and development of junior cricketers in the Southern area. The Gary Putland Youth Cricket Academy has been running for a number of years, supporting the development of talented young male and female cricketers. In addition, a girls-only junior development academy will be offered to interested girls in the area.
